DEKA TAIL SAFARI AREA
Sharing a 56lm boundary with the Hwange National Park, the National Parks concession Deka Tail Safari Area is home to a healthy population of Elephant, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard. Plains game species are limited, however quality trophies of kudu, bushbuck, impala, warthog and klipspringer are frequently found. The average size for an Elephant bull at Deka Tail is 40lbs, however, each year one or two bulls around 50lbs are taken out of a total annual quota of 5. We recommend that March through June is generally the best time for Elephant hunting, although we do have success throughout the year.
Our Deka camp comprises of comfortable thatched chalets with ensuite facilities, built on the Chockamella River, this pristine riverine wilderness is abundant with birdlife and in the dry season we are frequently visited by Buffalo, Elephant and Bushbuck at the camps waterhole.
BEITBRIDGE WEST CAMPFIRE AREA
This is a large communal campfire area that has boundaries with the Limpopo and Shashe Rivers which border Botswana. The area has a good population of Elephant, including some large herds of Elephant cows as well as Leopard, Crocodile and plains game. Most of the bulls taken here are between 35-45lbs however we do take the occasional 50lb trophy bull. Our camp is a small but comfortable tented camp with en suite bathrooms and a thatched dining area which overlooks the Limpopo River.
