Agris and Gunta Hunt with Eastcape & Karoo Safaris in March 2018

Agris and Gunta joined Eastcape & Karoo Safaris for a safari in March 2018.

A safari with a difference! We targeted the small cats amongst several other species. The following 9 nights proved challenging, and the phrase of, ‘the harder you try, the luckier you get’ really applied!! We sat in blinds for 4 nights, starting from sunset, and leaving after sunrise! We only left earlier on one night due to heavy rainfall! The remaining four nights were utilised for driving and night spotting. Our sleep patterns were upside down to tell the truth, with getting to bed at 9.00am in the morning, waking up at 12.00am, then checking and refreshing baits, having dinner at 15h00, then setting out to sit in blinds for the night!!

We finished a successful safari with some great trophies, which can be attributed to hard work, dedication and some great accurate shooting by Agris!

It is important to note that Gunta provided some good back up and continued support during the safari; it would not have been as much fun and successful without her!! Thank you Gunta!
